The people behind the film

John Bennardo, Executive Producer

John Bennardo, Executive Producer

John is a graduate of the American Film Institute in Los Angeles, where he received a Master's Degree in Screenwriting. His career path then took him into jobs in television, most notably when he produced a documentary series for Oprah Winfrey's then-named Oxygen Network. He has since produced two documentary short films. Turning Point: A Woman’s Drive to Self-Discovery focused on a divorcee who found inner peace after taking up professional auto racing; Roots: The Hair-Raising Story of a Guy Named Sy profiled celebrity pitchman Sy Sperling, who became famous doing his own television commercials for Hair Club for Men (“I’m not only the Hair Club president. I’m also a client.”)

John runs a production company in south Florida, Immaginé Productions—the company behind The Two Dollar Bill Documentary. John also teaches a variety of film classes at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida.

John is excited to have expanded the scope of his documentary work with The Two Dollar Bill Documentary, which he also wrote, directed, edited and did a majority of the camerawork on.
